Obsessed with SG50 LOGO

Customised SG50 Car Decal

I do not find any uniqueness in the SG50 logo used by everybody.

It’s a no-brainer. Yet everyone, including my friend is excited & actively looking & asking for a SG50 car decal. He told me his frustration for not getting one to paste on his car to show-off.

So I used an old drawing & created one for him to print & use as a car decal.

Guess how he reacted when I showed him this picture?

His expression looked exactly like in this picture.
Bingo !

GE2015 : Which Way to Go ?

As a local breed citizen, I’m always concern about four issues.

The rising health care costs.
Insurance premiums are rising with no ceiling caps and nobody seems to have or wants to have any control over it. The new Medishieldlife is said to cover even those uninsured, but who’s going to pay? It’s you & me. Short-term subsidies sound great but they won’t help the poor in the long run. It just creates another opportunity for private insurance companies to up their health insurance premiums in the coming months. Trust me.
Hospitals are run like “big businesses” and public ones are always full-house with insufficient beds to cope with the daily demands. One has to wait 10-15 hours just for a bed. In public hospitals, most doctors are junior and looked like fresh graduates from medical schools.

All the senior and more experienced doctors have already gone into private practice or private hospitals. So if you want top health & medical care & you can afford to pay, where do you go? But if you have no choice & could only afford to go to a public hospital, you have to pray hard for good luck. So, better stay healthy & avoid going in too early.

But there is really no incentive for anyone to stay healthy & fit. It’s only one’s willpower & discipline. Even car motor insurance has no-claim bonuses. But not for our health care system. Sigh!

I'm also very concern about rising costs of living, the over-population and over-crowding and the unemployment of older PMETs who could not find jobs. These are my top issues. Yet they are not the top priority of our politicians.

I strongly believe that politicians who have not experienced these pains or are not constantly affected by these issues, will not champion any policy changes to resolve them. As the saying goes : no pain means no gain. Why should they if they are not in pain ?

My vote in the coming election will not change policies and benefit me immediately after the votes are counted.
It’s nothing more than to keep the high-paying jobs of existing politicians in office or to give a new job to strangers whom may not have the competency to perform in parliament.
Damn !

When the going gets tough, the tough gets going !

Some say it’s different strokes for different folks. But for this veteran politician, despite having 2 strokes, he’s still pumping his fists whenever he spoke.

I salute him.
