Make good or look good?

Many people see and accept things base on their face values.

One has to think deeper to understand the real meaning behind everything that happens. Things happen for a reason that is most probably part of the ‘hidden agenda’ of the creator.  

These days, our minds are mostly occupied by smart technology, who has the time to think?

Old age is a shipwreck

Some seniors work to pass time.

Many seniors here need to work to survive in this country of ever rising cost of living. More so for those with little savings and no passive income.

Seniors are already facing the challenge to find works paying decent wages as most employers shun employing older workers. The influx of younger and cheaper foreign talents adds to these seniors’ woes. Raising the re-employment, retirement age and CPF contribution for older workers would not address or solve this age-old problem. In fact, many business owners are now worried about higher business costs for employing older workers. The impact would be worst with tougher times ahead for seniors!   

Respect is gained, not given

I’ve lots of respect for very successful people who have made it through their own hard work and perseverance.

Respect to a point till they blew it themselves when they acted strangely and say something weird.

After this, respect for them drops to zero and others just make fun of them.    

To Follow or Not to Follow?

Successful people always attract lots of followers as many want to learn from their ‘secrets to success’.

In reality, what has worked for them never worked for others!

This is why successful people have no fear to write and publish their ‘secrets to success’ in their books and make lots of money out of it.

You see, I’ve been very focus in all my tasks and invested many 10,000 hours to enhance and improve on my skills. Yet I still have not achieved much and have no financial freedom. Like many, I still have to trade in my time for money to make a living on this expensive island. Sigh!

Give Your Best. Nothing Less

I dislike shabby and snobbish people and always avoid them unless I have no choice. I respect people who produced original and quality work. I strive to mimic them and deliver quality work with value. Not one who is a cheapie.

To excel in anything, I believe one must always have the heart to start, put in time and effort to finish what is started and the continuous drive to improve.

One must always: Give your best. Nothing less.
