Bracing For Tough Time Ahead

This year is a lousy and gloom year.

Next year 2020 would be just as bad, if not, much worse.

Cost of living keeps going up with no sign of stopping.

Public transport fare has already gone up 2 years in a row.

Food prices keep going up due to climate change and profiteering. Medical costs and medical insurance premiums keep going up regardless if you are healthy or not.

My belt has no more holes left to tighten and my pants is getting loose. And our ‘Big Bros’ don’t care or address these issues. Sigh!

What Are Friends For?

While many are amused by my drawings, a few are concerned on the risks some of these drawings would bring, especially those mocking political cartoons.   

So I asked my friends if one day, our “Big Bros” were to ‘invite’ me for a private coffee in a dark room to interview me about my drawings, would they use some of their capacity and power to bail me out. Almost immediately, everyone just change the topic or drop the conversation and exit from our chat groups. I guess this is the real world of pragmatism. 

When help is in need, I’d know who are my real friends indeed!

 

Work Life Balance

While we’re trading our time for money to put food on the table,  I believe it’s good for one’s mental health to have some ‘me’ time to do what one would like to do. 

Do something that interests you and perhaps out of your normal routine. 

It’s a good way to de-stress.

Over the years, I received countless feedbacks and comments on my published drawings. To-date, this is the weirdest comment I’d ever received. Although I do not really know the real meaning behind it, I still thank the sender for his strange remark which is purely his unique style.

Sometimes, things won’t turn up your way and we have to ‘squeeze our b***’ and take things as a pinch of salt and move on to find the next ‘victim’ to mock!
