Happy Lunar New Year

 

Among the 12 zodiac animals, the tiger is the most aesthetic mammal. They always look so calm and steady even when they are faced with threats. They may be nervous and anxious on the inside but they never show it on the outside!

Also, when many tigers get together, they rarely communicate with one another. Everyone seems to have some kind of pride and does not make the first move to break the ice in the group.

Don’t Keep in touch please

 

Along the way, sometimes I meet some very difficult people. Their behaviors and actions irk me. I always try to avoid them no matter what. Sometimes, I had no choice but was forced to work with them. So I tried to keep my distance (>3m) and our dialogue short to reduce exposure with them. After work, I’ll keep my distance even further away from them. Don’t expect me to keep in touch with them or tell them jokes! Perhaps they think the same too! 😊

Keeping in touch

 

In the past, I used to meet up with some old friends occasionally for coffee and chats. Other times, our paths crossed and some could even recognized me with my face often 70% covered! Not so much meet-ups for 2 years since the beginning of this pandemic due to lots of restrictions. Everyone just has to hunker down and continues to move forward at each own’s pace and only keep in-touch via other means. Most have already lost contacts! Sigh!

Letting Go

 

Sometimes, extra loads are added to your baggage, whether you like it or not, with consent or not. Unless your baggage has a huge capacity or you’re really strong to carry the extra loads, you either have to say no or to let go some old stuff in order to accommodate those new add-ons. Letting go is the most difficult decision for many. Most have chosen to carry their extra loads everywhere they go.

For emotional baggage, it’s even tougher to let go, isn’t it? This is because we can forgive but we never forget!

Just trying to keep up

Nobody can tell where is the end point or how long one has to carry on. So one has really no choice but to keep up and continues to move forward even with increasing loads against the treacherous and challenging terrain ahead. Physical and leg power are keys to survival and I can only do simple and cheap exercise to maintain and prolong their use. I still want to break free and can still go explore places off the beaten-tracks. But my ‘boss’ gets very worried sometimes when she sees dead-ends & anxiously asks me to turn back to the main path😊.

Tough Time Still

 

Today I still carry my own baggage. My loads are getting heavier and my legs are getting weaker. Something is slowing me down these days. Is this due to age catching up with me or our landscape has become steeper and unforgiving to manoeuvre? There is no turning back although the path ahead looks intimidating. The move forward somehow has to continue but each step now needs much more effort, care and energy. It’s still very tough time ahead!
