In the past, to perfect one’s techniques, one
must practise it for 10,000 times, Bruce Lee once said. To be excellent in
anything, one must constantly practise it for 10,000 hours, said Malcolm
Gladwell in his book. To be healthy, one must achieve 10,000 steps daily, said
someone.
Now, I discover there is no real scientific
explanation for this ‘magic’ number. It’s plucked from the air and someone just
turned it into a gimmick or something new to make money! ☹
