Remembering our little sister, Jessie

I remember our little sister as a workaholic.

Her usual work-days started early in office but often ended at 8 or 9pm with very late dinner. She was a person with high quality standard and was very serious in her work. She often felt emotional and frustrated when co-workers acted or performed below her expectation. This probably took a toll on her own health.

For those colleagues who might have felt and received harsh-treatments from her, kindly forgive her for her strong character.

Despites this, many colleagues have had recognized and appreciated her hard work, tears, dedications and contributions in the Company other than the new management team who had given her biased and unfair treatments. It’s more heart-breaking to know she had chosen not follow her heart to retire in 2022/2023 as she had felt tired after persevering and slogging for the business all these years for very little returns.

These were her choices she had made in her short life.

Rest in Peace, 阿燕

It’s unconsolably heartbreaking with deep sorrow to feel pathetic and regrettable for her as she did not have a chance to enjoy her freedom and retirement after gotten retrenched in late Dec2024. She had contributed greatly and worked tirelessly for her Company in her last 12 years for an unjustly way-below-market salary till the very end even when she was feeling un-well in her final few months. She was constantly worried, mindful and concerned about her work 24/7 day/night and those affected co-workers.

Her last meal was lunch at KKH food-court on 7Jan2025 on a wheelchair as she had lose her balance walking. She requested for hot tea and waffle with bacon toppings from TripletS. Then she went home to pack her bag and stuff, kept her laundry, took a last look at her house before taking a Grab-ride to SGH. It was a soberly calm and quiet short ride without any spoken words. That was her last car ride of no return.

Those were her last moments in her frugal but short life.
It’s devastating to have watched her entire life grown from a small baby till her demise. It’s even harder to see her leave.
Hope she had gone to a better place with no sufferings, pains and worries.

Dearly missed and forever remembered by Family, Relatives, Colleagues and Friends.
