Dear
Global Leaders,
You
may or may not recognise it, global warming and climate change have affected
the earth in the last century. Climate changes
can be pinned to two main factors- natural and human activities. It is
understandable that nothing you could do to suppress natural events like
volcanic eruptions, oceanic currents, change in the orbit of earth and solar
variations, etc, surely you can do a lot to curb human activities. But you’ve
chosen not to.
You see, human activities and their over consumptions released
huge amounts of carbon dioxide and other green-house gases in the atmosphere.
However, you do not seem to care or accept the fact that green-house gases
leads to climate change and therefore is dangerous to human health and the ecosystem.
You only care about your own political and personal gains as most of you are
aware that you won’t be in political offices for life. You have used your limited
time in public office to complete your own political agendas than to tackle
‘non-value-added’ actions to solve this climate crisis affecting many lives.
The
world needs to come together to solve this now! The whole world is now on pause
mode and is standing still with many countries on lockdowns. This is nature’s
way to heal the earth. When you have found a cure to fight us,
we will retreat. Treat this as a warning to you and your leaders to reflect on this
topic and exercise your political willpower towards taking drastic actions to
reverse this catastrophic climate crisis.
This
isn’t the first attack.
Definitely,
it won’t be the last!
Treat
this as an opportunity to reset and rethink how you would want to move forward.
