How does the
layman understand all these ?
On one hand, the
“so-called” minimum sum in medisave is to be removed.
On the other
hand, a new scheme will be created with moving ceiling limits that will be
increased year on year.
Medical costs & insurance premiums are going up every year.
Medishield Life
will have higher premiums and they said that medical cost is still affordable
???
Look at
hospitals. They are run like a business / hotel.
Occupancy rates
are very high in hospitals. Otherwise who pays for the empty beds and staff
wages ?
And they know you
have medisave / health care insurance.
So they make
people stay inside and pay for everything from your medisave account. You have
no control who / what is deducted. You just sign some blank forms, and they said “everything would be taken care of”.
The big question
is who / how to control medical costs here ?
Also, hospitals
are full of in-house medical doctors that look like freshmen / new graduates
out from schools.
I've seen the ugly scars left on hand after surgery, and poor visions / lost of sight after cataract operations.
I’m very worried. Are they competent ?
Thinking about our health care escalating costs |
Where are all the experienced doctors ?
They have all
disappeared into private practice.
If you want good
doctors, go to private. But how many can afford it ?
Sigh !
Better stay
healthy.

Singaporean Old Man
