When bike-sharing providers started to fold one
by one, I was jumping for joy.
Now, there is one hazard less when I’m walking on footpaths and walkways. As a pedestrian myself, the only fear is those speeding PMD coming behind me. PMD users never obey rules and think they own all footpaths and walkways. Accidents are reported almost everyday. In my opinion, two-wheelers should never be allowed on footpaths and walkways as our infrastructures are not yet ready for such devices. Yet they are allowed on all our narrow footpaths. I hope our ‘big brothers’ and policy-makers wake up one day and reverse their decisions to stop PMD using and speeding freely on pathways. They should understand that footpaths are meant for the feet, not wheels!
